Aloha! My name is Abra and if you are like me, you may have never embraced the necessary evil of wearing sunblock.  The greasy texture, the weird fake smell, and the poisonous chemical ingredients made me avoid sunblock. Resulting in horribly painful sunburns as a kid. Now, as a Mom of 2 active boys on Maui, sunblock is even more crucial.  Protecting our skin from potentially cancer causing and painful sunburns and untested chemical ingredients became my mission.

There was nothing on the market that I loved, so I began researching ingredients to make a Sunblock that I could really get behind.  Because I am a small scale bee keeper,  I began experimenting with my own beeswax and other simple organic ingredients in my kitchen. My goal was to make a long lasting, great smelling, affordable, and healthy zinc based mineral sunblock that is also a pleasure to apply and wear. A product that would go on smoothly and have a light tint of Cocoa so I don’t look even paler! My first critics (my young sons) loved it at first use and have never been sunburned. Sharing it with my friends and family has been such a delight. Knowing that I am making a difference, protecting our bodies as well as the ocean environment has inspired me to share my product with everyone!”
